Our lamb is 100% grass-fed from start to finish.  Our sheep are never fed grain and live their entire lives outdoors, on pasture.

Every 2-3 days we move the sheep to a new field so they always have fresh, clean pasture to eat.  In so doing we naturally break the parasite cycle as the sheep leave their manure behind and don’t have to graze amongst their waste products.  By working this way, we remove the need for chemical treatments which ultimately end up harming the life in the soil.  The grazed pastures are left undisturbed for as long as it takes to recover fully before the animals return to graze again.  This makes the grasses more vigorous and the explosion of soil life is amazing to see.

Our layer hens live out on pasture, roosting at night in portable shelters and protected from predators by net fencing and our faithful guard dogs.

Every few days, we move the hens to a new area with a fresh smorgasbord of insects, grubs, grasses and herbs (yes, chickens eat grass too!)  Along with access to a balanced ration of whole grains, this varied diet makes for very healthy birds and beautiful, flavourful eggs.
